I want to express my gratitude for the excellent services that my father received at Avantara Palos Heights. The care he received was exceptional, and I appreciated how the nurses and CNAs were always available to answer my questions and provide updates. The physical and occupational therapists did an outstanding job of pushing my father to his potential, and I am grateful for their dedication. Jasmine and Maggie were always on top of things. They also returned my calls promptly and put me and my family at ease. I am thankful for their professionalism and care. All the staff members at Avantara Palos Heights deserve recognition for their attention to detail, training, and dedication. I want to give a special shoutout to Kristina, Halel, Jasmine, Carey, and Eileen for being extremely helpful and informative. Kristina, in particular, went above and beyond in her care for my father. I was admitted to Avantara Palos Heights after having abdominal surgery. While I was hopeful to return home immediately after surgery, my plans changed, and I’m glad I came for rehabilitation. I knew about Avantara because of a family member’s previous experience, and I am so happy I came here. The therapy department worked with me daily to get me strong enough to return home, and the nursing team exceeded all expectations during my quick rehab stay. My husband was a resident at Avantara Palos Heights for about three months. I want to thank everyone at the facility, from the front desk and throughout. Everyone is friendly and greets you with a smile. Several people stand out in my mind in the physical and occupational department, Starting with Bert, who shows his kindness and care for the patients. Occupational therapists Craig went above and beyond, and Andrew was a true professional and challenged my husband daily to succeed. Essie (CNA) is the epitome of a caring aide. She was so helpful, very kind and hard-working. Eileen (RN) was always on top of her patients’ needs and cared for my husband. Ann at the front desk always greets everyone and is very helpful. Tamara is a wonderful and compassionate social worker and exceptional at her job. Venus kept everything clean, and Corey took great care of maintaining the building and always smiled and greeted the guests. So many others were excellent; I wish I could remember their name. Please know that I appreciate the staff at Avantara Palos Heights, and I will be forever grateful.

I went to Avantara Palos Heights after a hospital stay at Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital. I was experiencing back pain, and the hospital recommended I go there for rehabilitation. I knew about this facility because I lived in the area and had family members who stayed there in the past. I had a magnificent stay. I highly recommend the staff at Avantara Palos Heights for their professional and compassionate care. They have been helpful from the beginning, from the facility tour to helping me with admissions to expediting my stepfather’s transfer from another rehabilitation facility. After spending time in several nursing homes and physical therapy facilities, I can confidently say Avantara Palos Heights stands above the rest. Due to stage 4 lymphoma, I’ve been unable to walk for seven months. Over the past three years, I’ve endured eight failed treatments, and the cancer keeps returning in new areas. I need specialized care, and Avantara has provided exactly that.

You might think it would be overwhelming to face such challenges, but at Avantara, I wake up every day excited to see my nurse, CNA, and physical therapist. Their compassion and uplifting attitude make me feel like I have a family here—I always have a reason to smile.

Special thanks to Nurse Practitioner Monika for her knowledge and fantastic bedside manner, Nurses Marquita and Mary, and CNAs Essie, Kesha, Claudia, Sholanda, Hiemie, and Christian. The physical therapy team, including Mary, Chris, and Terry, are amazing, and Bert is incredibly encouraging. Nurse Manager Eileen has been a godsend—she helps with everything, no matter how small, and is one of the kindest, most caring people I’ve ever met. Even the receptionist and office staff are wonderful—I got to know many of them during their fun activities.

This isn’t my first family connection to Avantara. Both my mother and aunt received care here. My mom, who had mid-stage dementia, was treated with compassion and dignity. Thanks to the care she received, she regained her balance and was able to walk again.

I wholeheartedly recommend Avantara Palos Heights. Your loved ones will be safe, cared for, and supported by an incredible team. And the daily activities are a wonderful bonus. Avantara gets an A+ from me!
